5 Step Action Plan for COVID-19 Response

Step 1 COVID-19 ResponseBusinesses with fewer than 500 employees should consider applying for a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan. This is potentially a 100% forgivable loan. To see who may be eligible click here. To learn more about how to apply for the PPP loan click here.


Step 2 COVID-19 ResponseBusinesses with fewer than 100 employees, if you're not pursuing the PPP, you should consider the Employee Retention Credit. To learn more about the Employee Retention Credit click here.

Step 3 COVID-19 ResponseALL businesses not pursuing PPP should consider the FICA deferral until 12/31/2021 and 12/31/2022. To learn more about the FICA deferral click here.

Step 4 COVID-19 ResponseEconomic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) SBA Loans will not have the financial benefit of PPP, but may offer needed liquidity for business survival. To learn more about the EIDL click here.

Step 5 COVID-19 ResponseFamilies First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) goes into effect April 1, 2020 – this is the bill that impacts Paid Sick Leave, Emergency Family Medical Leave and Tax Credits.
